The fight to ensure workers have the right to earn sick days is finally a reality for workers across New Jersey. The Time to Care Coalition has advocated for paid sick days in New Jersey for years. We won paid sick days in the cities of East Orange, Newark, and Montclair. Now, the entire state can benefit from the new law.
Starting on February 26, 2019, workers across the state can now use their earned sick days as mandated by the New Jersey Paid Sick Leave Act. Over 1 million workers can finally free themselves of the worry and economic turmoil to care for themselves or their loved ones when illness strikes.
